System Requirements
Before allowing Splashtop SOS to work on your Mac, ensure that your system meets the following requirements:
- macOS version: Ensure you are running a compatible version of macOS.
- Splashtop SOS app: Download the latest version of the Splashtop SOS application.
Installation Steps
1. Download Splashtop SOS
- Visit the official Splashtop website to download the SOS application.
2. Open the Application
- Once downloaded, locate the Splashtop SOS app in your Downloads folder and double-click to open it.
3. Grant Permissions
- macOS may prompt you to grant permissions for the application to function properly. Follow these steps:
- Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy.
- Click on the Privacy tab.
- Select Screen Recording from the left sidebar.
- Check the box next to the Splashtop app.
4. Allow Accessibility Access
- In the same Privacy settings, select Accessibility.
- Ensure Splashtop SOS is checked to allow control of your Mac.
5. Network Settings
- Check your firewall or network settings to ensure that they allow Splashtop SOS to connect to the internet.
Testing the Connection
- After completing the installation and granting permissions, initiate a connection to test if everything is working correctly.
- Have the remote user open the Splashtop SOS app and provide you with the session code.

- Restart your Mac after changing settings.
- Ensure that both the host and remote devices are running the latest version of the application.
